let's show you what our san jose camera just started showing, a backup on north 101 heading up past our camera. that's indeed where the issue is. look at the map. i have circled at the bottom of the screen some slowing that did show up. an earlier crash that was reported there, apparently there's a propane tank on the back of a big rig, a big propane tank, fire crews on lane blocking the slow lane. we're told don't worry about the propane. good, because the fire crew will worry about that. we're worried about the fog and slowing out of san martin. typical start for the slowing but fog may enhance that issue if you're traveling south down toward gilroy so keep that in minding if you're leaving silicon valley heading south. over here in the tri-valley, the fog has blocked out our rooftop camera in dublin so we're showing a little more slowing at the dublin interchange. heading toward pleasanton there's a slight build in the volume but nothing major. the bay bridge toll plaza shows low clouds and light traffic. no metering lights at the toll plaza, but that fog may be more of a factor in r

camera is good enough. that last week we had the zoom set on it and you could actually see downtown san jose. from this camera on top of the sales force camera. today there is no chance of doing that. all that haze right there is not because we are putting more stuff into the sky than we were last week. all that haze is there because there is no way for the stuff we normally put on a regular day -- there's no way for it to clear out because we are trapped under high pressure. you can see the weight thankful right there. high pressure will push us down toward the surface, toward the ground. it's responsible for sunny, warm weather. it also holds awful the same area we just keep recycling it every day. we are not looking the unhealthy levels of air quality but that's typical for winter inversion and it'll look like that for a while. aimhis mid-this another ten degrees to go here. some of these numbers may come in warmer than this. just because we are on the path to get there. the low 60's for inland valleys and the east the low 60's and mid-60s's for a few isolated spots. it's january and we sho

checking at 50 napa as i mentioned reporting some areas of fog already and san jose in the lower fifties. here's our live camera, looking out toward san francisco out toward the bay bridge, where we still have partly cloudy conditions, but even some fog can form around the bay itself. first thing tomorrow morning. definitely want to bundle up tomorrow. morning will be colder than this morning or the previous morning so overnight lows, the coolest spot starting at the weekend. in the mid thirties. up towards santa rosa napa lots of forties right around the bay itself, but it looks like this. this big h this big area of high pressure wants to build it and that will bring in the dry conditions this weekend. but whenever you have a stable pattern like this, it typically leads to a some fog formation. so that could be the case for saturday and sunday morning. sunday could be just a little bit warmer. and then there's that the weak system approaching are close on on monday. probably just a cloud producer for us and just a slight chance of a shower. here's the plan tomorrow morning . it's picking up on some of the fog

san jose now. wow. you can see the camera in the south bay.e raindrops coming down in the south bay and this is going to stick around for us at least through the first half of the morning. satellite radar, you can see that band there, the cold front sweeping through. this is also going to push through into the overnight hours. let's talk about the fog and visibility. we've been seeing dense fog especially in the early morning hours. definitely got some fog rolling through santa rosa, down to less than two miles when it comes to visibility. down to about a quarter of a mile in half moon bay. and expect that fog to return tonight. if you look at the hour-by-hour outlook, by about 3:30, the majority of the rain has moved out. we'll keep the cloud cover around lingering but you'll notice just a little peek of sunshine here and there, that fog is going to be covering up at least until the overnight hours and early saturday morning we could see even more. temperatures today will be comfortal. mild overall in the 50s. 58 in san jose. 57 in fremont. 5
