san mateo, santa cruz coast. 80s through the interior. 70s around the bay. all righty sal we're looking at 880 you want to start there? >> yeah 880 southbound going to be very slow because of right lane being taken away. it was a big rig that jackknifed. the truck was taken away but it did some extensive guardrail damage. and also it spilled 25 gallons of diesel fuel into the slew there. so the hazardous materials unit is there trying to clean up the spill. and cal trans is there fixing the guardrail. the traffic is going to be slow southbound 880. the truck has been taken away but the cleanup will be there for hours. traffic on southbound 880 will be slow as you drive past the scene. my advice to you is to use eastbound 580. you might want to consider using edwards which turns into hegenberger to avoid all of this slow traffic. let's go to some of the other east bay commutes. southbound 680 slow out of pleasanton heading down toward highway 84. we had an earlier accident that is causing some slow traffic there. 580 is just okay as you drive into livermore.
