san rafael has had nearly 3.5 inches of rain. mt. diablo, 2.5 inches of rain. in scotts valley, too. concord, .85. redwood city, .3. and in livermore, .3. and in san jose, a measly .07 of an inch so far. so rage showers, that is in effect throughout the day. we'll have some really heavy rage later tonight. the time line between 11:00 tonight and through 4:00 tomorrow morning. the winds will be picking up as well. we'll see more widespread and heavy rain. as we go through tomorrow afternoon and the evening, this storm will be winding down but there will be another one. we're looking at an inch to two inches of rain on top of what we've already gotten. we talk about the winds. once you throw in some strong winds, i know what heavy rain and some already saturated ground. you may have some trees coming down and that's something we'll to have monitor in the hills. we'll talk more about that and what is ahead in the forecast as we track more rounds of rain. that's coming up in a few minutes. >> thank you very much. >>> coming up, napa on netflix. the new movie about w

our high temperatures today really are not going to be that warm. 51 for san rafael and san francisco. 55 expected in san jose for the afternoon high. here's why. we have cold air mass that's now behind that rain that came through. so all the rain we got yesterday has moved south down in the l.a. area. they are dealing with concerns of mudslides in the montecito burn areas and, of course, los angeles could see some flash flooding. for us we'll be dealing with a chance of showers and thunderstorms because of what's behind that rain band. also let's talk about the coast. there's a high surf advisory in effect so that's going to start today at 3 p.m. through saturday at 5 p.m. because of that low the way it's churning up the ocean there. northwest swells 13 to 16 feet up to 25 feet though so large runup waves. i know it's not necessarily beach weather out there. but if you are going for a walk perhaps, do expect to see some big waves and here's from the beaches to the mountains we go because it's california and we can. we are dealing with more snow and visibility not so great and yes, th

the incident happened last night on interstate-580 in san rafael.olice say 18- year-old cristian torrez-perez was arrested in connection to the crime. they say the victim honked at the suspect when he cut them off. that car then pulled up next to the victim and brandished a b-b gun. kron 4's maureen kelly posted on twitter the moment police announced the arrest. she will have much more on the story coming up on kron4 news at 6.
