back to sandra shaw. >> welcome back, kurt. we are looking at a beautiful forecast.three days if you have the opportunity to play hooky i would because it will be so nice. we are seeing a clear scan on the radar and satellite imagery. we had a weak front that got through last night. didn't generate any storms. obstetrical storming in new england but later today high pressure will sink south and that will dry us out more. we will stay dry through the end of the week. right now temperatures 70 downtown typically the warmest location. 63 at the airport. 56 in york, a couple of 63's in hagerstown and westminster. the other variable is even better today, dew points this time of year is at least 65. sometimes higher. we have been in the mid 50's but check out this morning. 47 the dew point, incredibly dry, minimal amount of moisture in the air so the humidity won't be a factor. for the mountains, 79, mostly sunny, gorgeous sky conditions. state wide the sun is constant. looks like 80 the forecast high for central maryland. we should be up to 87. around it will feel better

now back to sandra shaw. >> we were blessed with another absolutely gorgeous weekend. yesterday we set a record low of 57 degrees. so a cooler-than-normal july. the jetstream is further to the south. there's a front right offshore this morning. we see some showers and storms percolating. nothing on land, at least over the state of maryland currently. but that could change later on. especially to the east on the eastern shore. ocean city, best chances of showers today. in the meantime, temperature range, 71 in baltimore. 57-degree reading in york. at the airport we're looking at 63 degrees. as far as the high goes today, again, we should be 88 degrees for july 20. we're only going to see a high of about 82 in central maryland. partly sunny skies. slight chance of shower. the best chances of showers perhaps in ocean city later on. again, it's only at about 20% so it's not going to be any sort of really wet day today. we could use the rain. but so far we didn't get any over the weekend. got some last friday. yesterday's high only 81 degrees. so the constant would be the l

now back to sandra shaw. >> we have quite the lightning show. this is the capitol. quite the lightning happening last night. it was one of those strong storms that produced lightning strikes across the city. you saw eight strikes specifically over the capitol in d.c. last night. that was one of many strong storms last night. one of the most insentence around -- intense around frederick and another to the north of baltimore county. a couple of inches in less than an hour. so really heavy downpours. this tropical system is bringing in all of this moisture off the atlantic. it's well to our north now. but we had that going on last night. we also have a front that brought a line of little showers and storms through, too. that front is still in our vicinity this morning. bottom line, we're going to remain unsettled today. very humid out there. really warm, too. we're look at 71 downtown. 68, b.w.i. marshall. 66, in york, pennsylvania. 77 in contrast over in ocean city. the dew points are telling the story, in the upper 60's still. that's a very humid air mass. it's going
