and we are getting there right now in santa rosa, as you can see. but what happens is you combine that offshore wind and the humidity and you really get fire danger. and this kind of shows you that metric of putting all that together. so this is this afternoon. you can see it's starting to roll through the north bay into the east bay as we get later into the evening and that fire danger just really stays with us right throughout the day on friday. in fact, i do think that friday afternoon into saturday night, maybe the trickiest of all by the time we get to saturday, that danger will start to pull back. now, the reason this happens is high and low pressure here squeezing together, causing the wind gradient. that's why we get the offshore wind being driven by that low pressure as it slides inside of california. so if we take a look at our extended forecast here, it is late tonight into friday and saturday that we have fire danger by 05:00pm saturday. we should start to see things get a whole lot better. and after that, we just got a really nice run o

in oakland 72 and half moon bay and 95 in santa rosa. the heat intensifies excessive heat warnings and heat advisories covering the entire bay area. orange is the heat advisory. the warning is there in pinkish red. it's until 11 p.m. wednesday. that heat risk will go into the moderate to major category for the entire region, so this heat will be intense enough to make you sick. so keep that in mind as we look at the fire danger index. even though we're not expecting strong winds, we have critically dry fuels. enough of a little bit of a breeze in the east bay and the north bay hills to raise the fire danger with the heat coming and the humidity dropping. just look at these humidity values. they crash. they're down to the single digits tomorrow afternoon in places like concord, napa, 8 to 9%. so that fall heat wave bringing us up to 107 in livermore tomorrow, 105 santa rosa, 106 in concord, san francisco 92. which is the last time they saw low 90s was in october 2nd years ago, and san jose, 102, oakland 96 degrees. i'll be back to let you

a carjacking and police chase ended in an arrest in santa rosa this weekend. a woman driving a silver minivan stopped near third and sonoma avenue around 8:00 last night. a man jumped into that vehicle and told her to drive. she did not. she jumped out and she ran. but that man, he jumped into the driver's seat and he drove. he drove off with her car. ended up creating chaos on highway 101. he was driving south in the northbound lanes. the carjacker eventually pulled over and ran away on foot. officers ended ended up catching up with him, and then asked the woman if they had caught the right suspect and then arrested him. santa rosa resident ryan humphries, now facing several felony charges, incapable, incompetent and not qualified. those are the accusations being levied against embattled alameda county district attorney pamela price. today, police officers unions in alameda county announced their unanimous support for price's recall. members of law enforcement gathered with families of crime victims and the leaders of the recall campaign. the unions blasted p
