so this has been an ongoing controversy here in sausalito for quite a while. back in small camp formed on a piece of private property about a mile south of where i'm standing. it got pretty big eventually. the city allow those folks to move here to marine ship park. they use the field, the tennis court. but neighbors tell in recent months that had become a problem. and now the city has closed down this camp. everyone inside is gone. they have put up fencing around it and they're working on cleaning it up. earlier this month, the city of sausalito reached a settlement with a group representing the people who are living here at marine ship park in exchange for leaving. residents of the camp were given up to $18,000 each to be used to find new housing. >> the camp was cleared out on august. 15th and fencing and signs have been up ever since to keep people out. you know, i feel you know, i don't know what to do to help for neighbors like haas. the epstein, the restoration of marine ship park is a mixed blessing. she says that what started as a good idea have becom
