sheena parveen is tracking the damage along the coast. >> good morning, guys. this is a powerful nor'easter. high winds and flooding and snow in new england. in atlantic city, new jersey, people are dealing with a lot of coastal flooding. streets are covered with water, people are wading through, just to walk down the street it high winds pushing that water on shore. we have learned it's an ef-2 tornado being blamed for four deaths in georgia. the tornado was a mile wide. not long. but wide. it tore through homes sunday in albany. and today, the national weather service survey team is actually going to be conducting a survey on the second half of that tornado's path. so, what we know now, the first half of that tornado's path. and now we're going to see the results of the second half of the path later on when that survey team goes out. of course, we'll keep tracking the damage and keep you updated and chuck will keep you updated on the bus stop traffic next. >>> we have an update on breaking news we first brought you monday morning. fairfax county police need s

but we do want to check back in with storm team 4 meteorologist, sheena parveen, who has more on how long this weather is going to last. hi, sheena. >> it's a very nasty way to start the week. winds are gusting near 40 miles an hour, on top of the rain moving in, berwyn, bethesda seeing more moderate rain showers. but off to the west, that's where we see heavier rain from leesburg down through gainesville and areas to the west, especially near the shenandoah valley and higher elevations. some of this rain is falling at about an inch and a half per hour, especially down near culpepper. that's some heavy rain. look at the alerts that we have. we'll start with the green, off to the west near the shenandoah valley. that's a flood watch, 2 to 3 inches of rain possibl concern. around the district, areas in maryland, that's a wind advisory, gusting near 45-mile-an-hour today along with the wind. we'll talk more about the timing of it, coming up. >> thank you, sheena. the weather may be responsible for delays at the airport. we check flightaware.com to find out what you might experience if yo
