those remains actually are in an exhibit at the smithsonian. have any of you heard about the written in bone exhibit at the national museum? you have? good. you ought to see that. because it's about what forensic anthropologists can learn from modern murder cases on back to the boy and one other person i mentioned earlier we'll talk again about. right over here. as we were looking for the west wall of the fort, we went out here, mathematically it seemed like the fort was bigger than we thought. we started trenching in this area. interesting artifacts, on display at the building with the front glass wall. and we also discovered a burial out here in a strange way but we thought that it was -- we found that it was parallel, laid parallel, to what turned out to be the west wall. we dug down maybe two feet, and we found what looked like a spear laying parallel to a row of nails which was pretty clearly the coffin. took it and x-rayed it and saw that it was a decorative spear point, we were able to identify as a captain's leading staff. the captain's

publicly owned big city streetcar, it almost certainly qualifies to be sitting on display at the smithsonian, but we in san francisco had a better place for it than that. because we put our history to work. we embrace our hats, but we give it a job to do to benefit our present and helped enrich our future -- we embrace our past. we invite the world to use our streetcars as part of our regular transit service to get to places they want to go to and to have fun in the process. these museums in motion have proven their value here today, the f line is america's most popular street car line and attract as many rides every -- riders every day as our other lines combined. senator feinstein gave me too much of a role in this. this would not have happened without the mayors who have been involved in this through the years, starting with been near feinstein -- then mayor finds that appeared when i was in her office, she looked, listen, and said, "alright, i will do it, but i do not want to see any junk out there." we have watched the street cars go by. i think we have done a good job of keeping it cla

this tent, recent negotiations with smithsonian institute, will be traveling to washington for potential display at the national african-american museum and the civil war exhibit of the african-american experience in the civil war. so that we're excited about that. the conservation and the expedition of tents is very difficult, they're quite large. this is a huge tent, and they got all kinds of issues on their display, because they're heavy, they're cumbersome. we're talking about old canvas and we're talking about old threads, stress points are weak, and they're going to be strained more with the exhibition. so we are making available the sibley on loan for the exhibit. it's going to be conserved. so it's going to receive some much-needed cleaning, but we're excited that it will be in front of the public at least for a temporary exhibit, maybe a year's time frame, and they'll be able to get some benefit from it. henry sibley got the patent for henry sibley got the patent for these in 1850s, mid-1850s. first used in the utah expedition commanded by albert sydney youngston of the united s
