it was snowing, light to moderate snow, as you can tell me from my surroundings. that has since stopped. let's take a look at route 55, which is behind me in the distance as we spoke kus in on this one vehicle, a salt truck stopped on the side of the road. that appears to be one of the two vehicles involved in this deadly crash that happened in the overnight hours. here's video of the scene. state police say a sedan crashed with the salt truck near the exit for route 56, landis road, route after of route 55 southbound. the driver of the sedan was killed. the salt truck driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. there was up to a mile of stopped traffic on route 55 as you approached this scene. within the last hour, crews have finished up their work, taking pictures of the vehicles involved. they opened up the shoulder so that some of that stopped traffic could slowly make its way around the scene. that traffic was either able to continue on route 55 southbound or exit along route 56. there were options for drivers to get around that scene, very slow goin
