so unknown to the minority community in many respects. i come from a very impoverished community and, you know it is a small community 12,000 people in las exico. so we don't have a lot of industry, the industry there is politics. when they asked me what industry, i am in the political industry because that is what i learned. but i knew there was a bigger world. there was a more rewarding world and i knew there was a way i could affect my own career and those of others that was bigger than the small circle of government that i was familiar with. so i explored that.my first offer was with lockheed international. one of my buddies in college, his dad was one of the executives at lockheed i interviewed with them and they were bringing on talent, young talent to work on the ssd program the supersonic. i turned it down. and in many respects it was a good decision but it was my first entry into what private industry what or could be and what it could offer. so from there i always had i worked for the government for a while. i work in washington d.c. i worked on capitol hill but there was always, i worked for senator anderson i was under his pat
