it looks like we are still abnormally try for parts of the south bay, into the east bay. and we are still in a severe drought. but all our reservoirs are near or at capacity. we have had such high amounts of rain in santa rosa, 177% of normal. for livermore, 11 inches for the water year. so a lot of rain. we're also about the coastal flooding with king tides come canning today. for more on that, let's head over live to san francisco. how is it looking as we approach high tide? >> reporter: well, kari, i know you and i were sitting in the weather center yesterday looking at the models and the potential for king tides. we measured waves of seven feet yesterday at 9:40. we are not seeing the water come up up on the abatement. it is expected to come up 9:40 with a potential to 6.9 feet. we begin to see the threat for coastal flooding, which means there is still a coastal flooding advisory that is expected to remain in effect until noon for all coastal areas, including this area right here. we will keep a close eye on that. it looks calm compared to what we have seen. i will k

focus shifts to the south bay by midnight. but sunrise tomorrow morning, the north bay picks up some of the heaviest cells. so first south bay, north bay then we all get hit by late in the afternoon. tomorrow 8 a.m. you can see a long band of moisture. but take away from these maps is it's going to be wet with heavy cells and there could be thunderstorms. in terms of amounts, i mean, from the north bay to the south bay more than 3 inches of rain. high wind alerts also the other part of the story with wind warnings in the hills. already there's 600 people without power in the santa cruz pluto's in west marin there are 1200 without power. maximum winds more than 60 miles an hour so far at diablo about the same at los gatos. right now they have eased up a bit but the winds will be picking up in the next three hours and so it will be windy and rainy and a bit of snow in the mountains but not a huge amount. so the storm timeline shows we get rain, it will be moderate through the next couple of hours, but overnight tonight is when we
