let's get a look at the south bay temperatures. headed up to the mid-70s today. 76 in san jose. 78 for a high in morgan hill. east bay we are still looking at some low 90s in brentwood but most of the rest from the tri-valley and livermore up to 82. 75 in martinez. cooler in oakland at 66 degrees. daly city up to 60 today but palo alto mid-70s. san francisco mostly in the upper 50s and low 60s. north bay cool. 74 degrees for a high temperature in sonoma. we see the blue shades that indicates that there could be some smoke coming in, especially going into early in the afternoon. but it does look to clear out by tomorrow. with breathing problems limit the time outside with the fires burning in the region. not seeing them impact the air quality at the surface level. we haven't seen that much of the week. as the temperatures remain cool seeing the highs in low 80s. quick spike in temperatures up into the low 90s. not as hot as the past weekend. mike, how's the commute? >> looking at a pattern seeing here in the south bay. north 87 shows

let's get to the south bay. take a look at our high temperatures today. los gatos headed up to 87 degrees and 90 in morgan hill. low 70s for downtown san jose and cupertino. for the east bay we're looking at range in temperatures from 90s in antioch to 93 walnut creek. head over to oakland and we're looking at low 70s here. near the coast keeping it foggy and cool with low 60s and redwood city reaching 81 degrees. for san francisco, mostly low to mid 60s for today and our north bay temperatures reaching 96 in clearlake, 84 sonoma and 80 mill valley. as we go into the rest of the week, this high pressure that caused that intense heat is going to start to slide off towards the east and we're going to get much more cooling especially by wednesday and thursday as our strong ocean breeze returns and some rain and storms return to the pacific northwest. we're going to have a nice quiet weather pattern. we're settling in with some much nicer conditions for the inland areas as we go through the week. we're going from 90 today to the mid 80s tomorrow, low 80s for o

as we get a look at our temperatures headed back to the mid to upper 80s today, for much of the south bayto morgan hill, coming down a couple degrees but hot. we're seeing those hot temperatures in the inland east bay with antioch today reaching 97, 95 in danville and oakland today up to 73 degrees. now near the coast, daly city up to 63, half moon bay 65, redwood city 80 today and san francisco in the low 60s. while our north bay temperatures still hot around ukiah and clearlake. santa rosa, a big drop in temperatur today. so continues and it's surging in quite a bit of showers and thunderstorms into the weekend into the sierra. for us going into next week,er with we are going to see ours temperatures coming down as we approach the pacific northwest. if you will be traveling from lake tahoe down to mammoth lakes up and down the sierra into southern california even around vegas this weekend, there will be flash flood watches in effect due to potential of some of those thunderstorms that do fire up, could produce flooding, especially in the sierra around the burn scar areas. we'll have to
