just a few heavy showers well to the east of us working into south lake tahoe. it is rather balmy outside. take a look at the turn of temperatures right now. 63 in san francisco. 60 in oakland. 62 in concurt. rather mild at this hour. temperature at 61 degrees. satellite and radar show you in between the two systems. the first system brought us soaking showers yesterday now push ughing up well into canada. next storm is approaching. you can see it's moving rather quickly. we're not talking about a long duration rain event. the rain is really in here for the first half of your sunday. so to put the forecast into future mode, here's the leading edge of showers. by tomorrow morning, it's 6:00 with some light rain that begins to move in. it quickly overspreads the entire bay area. by 9:00, we have pockets of heavier rain. there could be an isolated clap of thunder or a flash of lightning but it's not going to be widespread and i think the possibility is rather low but by sunday afternoon, the system is pretty much out of here tapers to widely scattered showers and i

when you add it all together, boston, massachusetts has received 93 times more snow than south lake tahoeo far this year, less than one inch of snow at lake tahoe. 93 inches of snow in boston. what is going on? we have to look way out in the long range to find some hope here, that california will be wetter than average. i showed you this last night, now i am using it as a contrast. eight to 14 days takes us to the beginning of march when we will likely see rainfall and mountain snowfall, but the climate prediction center put out their outlook for the month of march and we will likely be drier than normal, so when the rain does come, cross your fingers and toes. we need to get as much rain as we can. once that is gone, we may be very dry for the remainder of the month. as of right now, the issue outside is fog. and low cloud cover. it is already here. it is already cloudy. but the winds are changing overnight. the winds will shift to a northerly flow that will scour out the fog and cloud cover earlier and it will be warmer. same story on saturday. some morning clouds, afternoon sunshine. o
