as we mentioned, this is south of south lake tahoe. current wind gusts, 15 to 30 miles per hour temperature at 76 and bone-dry air. humidity values at 18%. now the heaviest and thickiest smoke is blowing just to the south of south lake tahoe so we do not think south lake tahoe tonight would see extremely reduced visibilities but you'll definitely smell the smoke. you can even see so much smoke today it was picked up on the radar as the scan moved around the lower atmosphere. so very, very smoky near mark leeville, where they are trying to keep the fire from going at this point. close to homes as we have recently seen on some of the latest fire updates. in terms of this week in the forecast winds will stay 15 to 30 miles per hour. temperatures will range possibly as high as 94 degrees. and the bad news thunderstorms back in the mix by friday saturday and also on sunday. this fire was sparked by lightning, so unfortunately, with more thunderstorms in the forecast this could be bad news for the sierra. more details in our full forecast com
