temperatures are still in the upper 60 to around 70 downtown. 70 officially, winds out of the south-southwest, and they're still gusting. pressure falling now 30.03 inches of mercury which would you expect as the frontal system begins to approach from the west. here's a look at radar. most of the showers on the other side of the divide, a few have crept up huling i-81 but for the most part we're going in to pretty good shape. you might have a shower in hagerstown but in the immediate metro area no problem. 6 great falls right now. 68 in sterling, 70 down in manassas, 71 in college park. even as you head up towards baltimore temperatures still upper 60s in beltsville. look at the winds. they are howling. now, it's still a warm wind. winds are howling 23 miles per hour wind gusts in manassas, a 33 miles per hour at national, and they had a gust to 39 today. so a cold front is on the way. a dry commute home. mainly a dry morning commute except for you folks in southern maryland. breezy and cooler friday, still above average. bright but brisk on saturday. good news, no winds on saturday. all righ

mostly cloudy tonight, breezy, low temps around 50, winds becoming south, southwest at 10 to 15. tomorrow morning showers and storms end early, 50s to around 60 and by afternoon really not a bad day. maybe a shower, but tell you, what becoming partly cloudy, breezy and warmer, 60 to 65, i'll put up with a slight chance of a shower for temperatures in the mid-60s. we'll take that any day. let's talk about the breakdown. showers and thunderstorms ending early, 48 to 54 and then 55 to 60 by noon and then 59 to 64, maybe a sprinkle by evening but all in all a pretty good deal. now the next seven days it stays cold for a while, got the flake sunday, the flake on monday, temperatures in the 40s sunday and monday. tuesday we rebound a little bit back up to about 50 and then 60 on wednesday, more rain and showers possible on thursday and then we're looking at temperatures in the 50s thursday and friday. so again no severe weather here, apparently three dead in indiana again with this second round of storms. >> okay. crazy day. >>> still to come tonight something lighter, cats and dogs li
