we're talking after 8:00 saturday night for most locations in southern new england, a little sooner in central and northern new england. mainly a nighttime event on saturday so you're getting through the day without having to worry about the rain. here comes the rain northward along with the hurricane, and i'm curious why the radar is popping in at the last second here. the bottomline is there's a lot of rain and t storm went onshore, coming past freeport and then clipped the western fringe of the bahamas island for landfall. it's about 50 miles off of palm city. there's vero beach, just checked and vero beach had a wind gusts of 50 miles per hour. the winds are starting to ramp up. but this is 50 miles offshore and the hurricane-force winds would be extending up to 50 miles per hour offshore. we're not seeing that on land just yet. that's the weaker sippled side of the storm typically. our futurecast continues to pointed northward up the coast through daytona beach and just offshore of jacksonville. it will be weakening a bit as it comes up the coast and how much it is over land will
