steve paulson is working hard on the forecast. i know you are. >> i am. to be honest i was writing an e- mail to a friend that said this is ugly. it's just i'm telling you it's in lock step here. expect we haven't had 18 days of record highs. we've had just one. we do have patchy fog. let's look at the here and now. out toward concord and antioch. that looks like it's about where it is to stay. you can have something that you can always tweet me. a little different pattern two days ago was north bay and east by bay. yesterday more bay side. today south of the valley and some of that is bringing in that fog. it's colder this morning on the lows by three or four degrees for most. upper 30s and mid 30s. 47sfo. menlo park, wood side all in the 30s. la honda 45. san mateo at 40. they will dip to 39. there is the easterly breeze at fairfield bring that valley fog back in toward the delta. north wind at napa airport. it all spells sunshine and mild temperatures. that fog will retreat and burn off. stick and stay. sunny and mild. patchy morning fog. 60s for all i

let's go right to steve paulson with your forecast. >> getting warmer slowly. tomorrow. >> getting warmer. >> yeah. yesterday was cold with that fog and that east wind. we still have some fog, the east wind has kind of died down to more of a puff or just a breeze. but some fog, high clouds, cold for many, 30s yet the higher elevations are in the 50s already and that's a sign that high pressure is building in and we'll get more warmer air. the warmest air arrives i think on sunday. we'll gradually rebound today. there's some fog to keep a cap on things with the 30s, but the higher clouds are moving out and the storm track is going way up and over. so once we get rid of the fog, a lot 30s, though. take your pick. the warmest, though, half moon bay with a north wind, it's 57 balmy degrees. that's 10 warmer than sfo and 20 warmer than fairfield. but there's plenty of 30s around, including woodside, menlo park, palo alto, las altos hills and higher elevations low 50s. foster city at 40 degrees. up and over she goes, high pressure is on the way. but today is a transi

steve paulson has your forecast. how are we looking? >>> not too bad. most of the energy is in the northeast. i saw tori tweet out a picture or two. >> yeah. >> for some areas, the snow was not that great. 4, 6 in new york. long island, 2 feet. some areas in massachusetts, 2 feet. plymouth, hurricane conditions, 70-mile-an-hour winds. for some, this was a full-blown blizzard. i it see a photo coming out of providence on i-95. nobody was on the freeway. nobody. so other areas escaped it. others are still dealing with it and they will. so the blizzard for some continues to be in full-blown category but for others things are winding down. cloudy skies. breezy, light rain. santa cruz mountains, i think would get the most out of anybody. even that looks light. there is a lot of cloud cover here. not much in the way of rain. anything up there is high- based. san joaquin valley, fresno has had measurable amounts. 50 and 60s. mild due to a southeast breeze for some. 62 woodside is incredible. 60 for san mateo. that's because of that southeast breeze at sfo. mou

you heard steve paulson. the bay area is going to get hot.p you may be planning ahead for the beach. but the national weather service says be careful out there. high surf advisory takes effect tonight on the bay area coast. powerful waves up to 15 feet are expected. that means the risk is higher for people getting swept away. the national weather service advises anyone on the beach to stay back from the water this weekend. the advisory is in affect until sunday morning. >>> ebay is making plans to cut 2400 jobs and that's making many workers nervous. the layoffs are about 7% of ebay's entire work force. the cuts are expected to happen before the end of march, but it's still not clear how many of the jobs being eliminated are here in the bay area or which workers will be affected. workers we spoke with say all of the uncertainty leaves them concerned about their futures. >> it's difficult to process at times. >> they haven't really said much about it yet. it just got announced today. i am not sure. >> no one said who is affected yet. >> ebay i
