david stevenson found out, almost half of the protesters who were arrested weren't even from the citybefore dawn, san francisco police arrested 26 occupy movement squatters in this building owned by the archdiocese in san francisco. the arrests capped an occupation that began yesterday afternoon, and included a man who through bricks and pipes through the roofs of two buildings. police are identifying him as jesse nesbitt. one of the bricks he allegedly threw struck and injured a fellow protester. >> hit one of our own protesters. we don't condone that violence. >> reporter: protesters released from county jail told us they tried to stop nesbitt. >> to see it happen was a bummer and tried yelling at him to stop. again, he's an autonomous individual and we can't control anything that happened. >> reporter: a spokingman told us there is no excuse for what happened here yesterday. >> to do violence like that on people, you don't know who they are down there, that kind of violence is just unconscionable. >> reporter: six of those arrested this morning were booked for a continuing offense.
