good morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that man was found gravely injured lying in the middle of the street. the driver is still on the run this morning. take a look at the video from overnight from the scene. this again happened around 10:30 in the evening along city avenue and forth 54th street. numerous witnesses did call police and police arrived on scene to find the 58-year-old man with those injuries. seconds after impact, witnesses say they did see a lexus speed off eastbound on city avenue. possible proof of that is a red lexus emblem that was left behind. so people are -- police rather are focusing their search on a red newer model lexus. as for the victim, police say he had severe head trauma and two broken legs. he lived just two blocks away from the scene. he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead just minutes later. >> based on witness accounts, this 58-year-old male was crossing city line avenue when a red vehicle struck him and then the vehicle left the scene. so, this is a hit-and-run. >> re
