let's head to pete suratos live in the north bay with a look at how the high winds could impact us in the bay area. >> reporter: good morning to you. you mentioned the wind advisory in place. we know some of the higher elevations in the north bay could hit up to 40 miles per hour. so that's something we'll be keeping track of throughout the day. that's on top of some of those colder temperatures we'll see in the region. so of course marin county officials are keeping a close eye on all of this. we did speak with the county's office of emergency management about how they're handling this. like many departments we're seeing around the bay area, they are familiar with these weather events following those january storms. they are going to watch closely the cold temperatures and the strong winds, but they're saying they're not anticipating, at least now, as much damage as those previous storms. >> in terms of the trees coming down with the wind, we think really the danger is somewhat less now because of the storms we had earlier in january and late in december, that weeded out a lot of the fragile tree
