southbound 880 the crash is near thornton.tunately it was just cleared to the right-hand shoulder. there were injuries involved in this accident. so i know a number of emergency cruise are on scene but the backup, it is a rough start for people on the nimitz freeway this morning. it's stacked up right around highway 238 coming out of san lorenzo. at least northbound it's still clear into oakland. so we are not seeing any delay from hayward into the oakland area all the way to downtown. it's fine even all the way to the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see some slowdowns on 580. pretty sluggish from the 24 interchange. it's not terrible, difficult this time of the morning with the metering lights on. here's a live look at the san mateo bridge commute. southbound 880 approach looks okay so far through hayward. and once you get on the san mateo bridge, it's only 14 minutes between hayward and foster city. and the richmond/san rafael bridge, we're also not seeing much of a delay so far coming into marin county across
