reporter tim johns has the story. tim: a quiet apartment complex in pleasant hill turned into the scene of a nightmare friday night. >> i do not feel safe here. i do not feel safe here. tim: the police department says they were investigating a series of vandalisms in the area. >> as a part of the investigation, pleasant hill detectives discovered that it was possible that are suspect in the vandalism case was acquiring explosive devices. tim: law enforcement agencies say they got a search warrant for an apartment on the 300 block of long breakaway. officials say they found bomb making materials along with some type of device. police say they arrested a 27-year-old man. >> the hazmat was here, the fire department was here, the fbi was here. we did not know what was going on. tim: she lives of the complex and was one of 20 residents evacuated around 3:00 p.m. friday afternoon. she says the suspect caps on himself and never had interaction with others in the complex. >> to put plastic over his windows, which we thought. w

tim. john says now it's looking to do even more. for the past month mandy allen has been tirelessly at work. we weren't sure how we were going to do it at all since 2018. the pacifica residents has run a nonprofit called transform a street dog that helps rescue disabled and abandoned ukrainian animals. but once the invasion started their operations were turned upside down and an early march. alan was left with $35 dogs and 15 staff members caught in the middle of a war zone we were able to evacuate them to austria and they are now safely there. it's in part to our coverage. the group's efforts went viral. they partnered with other animal groups and neighboring european countries and were able to get not just the initial batch of dogs to safety, but also hundreds more but despite the work that they've already done. alan says, there's still a lot more to do as the war continues to decimate the country. alan showed us photos of the animals. the group has helped to save so far many of which have adopted she said they're currently in the

tim johns is speaking with riders dealing with delays. karina?people who were injured in this crash. 13 people were hurt, four passengers taken to the hospital. one equipment off -- was taken to with -- we are told none of the injuries are life-threatening. sky 7 flew over the scene on essentially pay avenue past the san bruno train stop. officials say crews were in the area working on an electrification progress and the train hit two vehicles on the tractor we are told there may be a third vehicle under the train. investigation crews are looking into that. sky 7 shows two overturned vehicles, 180 crane truck, there were 75 passengers aboard the train when smoke filled the cabin. the conductor was able to evacuate everyone. caltrain says by the
