prince george's bureau chief tracee wilkins is at the school tonight where we were given pictures of what the mold looks like. >> we went to the classroom and saw that the dry wall was torn down and when we saw the dry wall there was mold. >> reporter: father melvin reyes says he's upset he had to see the problem for himself as opposed to getting a letter from the school informing him. >> we found this out by ourselves. i'm not sure if any of the other parents have found out. >> reporter: the class was moved to the library for classes as work continued to remove mold and replace the wall. this letter went to parents after rayes complained. it explains that people working on the bathroom calling it a repair issue, but there was no mention of mold. the epa's website has this to say about removing mold in a school. the remediation manager's highest priority must be to protect the health and safety of the building's occupants and remediators. it is also important to communicate with building occupants when mold problems are identified. school spokesman says it was an oversight not tellin

tracee wilkins is live with reaction to the hung jury. >> reporter: we know the decision was 11-1 but we don't know if that was for him being guilty or innocent in this case so he is a free man and will be back in court in june because the state's attorney's office say they want to retry this case. now, this man was a teacher in highpoint high school in beltsville, maryland, and had been there for some time graduated from high point high school in the '90s and returned to be a football coach. the alleged incident happened during school hours back in september of 2013. according to court testimony, another teacher approach the 17-year-old student after hearing rumors that she may have had some kind of sexual relationship with mr. brown. the student then reported brown to police. now, brown, again, graduated from high point high school in the late '90s and was hired as the football coach but fired after the team had consecutive losses. he admitted involvement with the student according to a videotaped police interview police played in court, but in the end, he was not convicted by this

tracee wilkins is live. >> reporter: unfortunately, more incidents at forestville high. just today three more fights police were called to the school. a lot of issues happening here. this is following the other issues that we have already reported. now, school officials confirm a number of girls were involved in a group fight inside the school while school was in session. this happened near the end of january. there's video of this fight now. we received this video after airing a story about a teacher here at forestville high school who was punched and knocked out by a student just a few days after that girl fight. now, the person who e-mailed this video said the stool was out of control. the head of security said that that was not the case. now, today another parent contacted us after three unrelated fights happened inside of this school this morning. after one of the incidents, a grandmother, a mother and a brother of one of the students came to the school and had to be escorted out by police for disorderly behavior according to the school system. we spoke with one par

our bureau chief tracee wilkins has more on the suspect and the emotional reaction from the victim's mother. >> when i think about her, i think about her laugh, her smile. >> reporter: angela anderson reported her oldest daughter crystal anderson missing in the summer of 2011 in prince george's county. six months later her remains were found by a hiker in a charles county park. medical records identified her body. then the case went cold. >> you exhaust all lead you interview all witness, and it's very difficult to go to the family and say that we don't have any additional information at this time. >> reporter: until, police say, people who knew what happened to crystal started to cooperate with the investigation. >> lot of people's relationship changed. we monitored some of these people. and when those relationships changed we were there to talk to those people. >> reporter: police are charging 22-year-old raymond posey iii with killing anderson. posey is already serving time for a separate armed robbery conviction. >> we have evidence that supports our thoorry of the charges. >> re

it's expected to be a lengthy one, and prince george's county bureau chief tracee wilkins will be hereshe's going to bring all of the day's events later on on news 4. reporting live from the church megan mcgrath news 4. >> thank you. >>> breaking news. we just got an update on the two officers shot outside the ferguson police station. news 4 molette green has more and new video from the live desk. >> that's right. the st. louis county police chief just ended a news conference updating us on the two wounded officers telling us they are in a tremendous amount of pain but are expected to recover. now, we want you to see new cell phone video that shows an up close look right after the shooting. >> awe! >> [ bleep ] -- >> you can see all that chaos just after midnight. just as a demonstration was ending. now, we've learned four shots were fired into the air, and then they came down striking the officers who were standing guard in a line outside the ferguson police department. officers took cover, pulled their long guns and here is some of what chief jon bell had to say say . . . jon belmar.

tracee wilkins outside forestville high school right now. tracee? >> reporter: a lot of parents are frustrated and confused about what's going on inside forestville high school. this is the third time we've stood outside of this high school talking about massive fights inside of the school. but what's going on here really depends on who you talk to. from this parent's perspective -- >> it's worse than a prison. you know, the kids go to school and they're not learning anything. >> reporter: but this parent says -- >> he's been here for three years, never had no trouble always been an honor roll student. so as far as what i can see and what he's telling me this is a good school. >> reporter: the tale of two schools, forestville military academy, where most of the kids are doing great thing, giving the school the second highest graduation rate in prince george's county. but then there's what other kids are doing. >> he said there's a fight every day. there's not a day go by without a fight. >> reporter: in late january, school officials confirm a numbe

tracee wilkins has more. >> reporter: we spoke with a man who told me he will never forget how horrible the scene was behind his home here in bowie. now police are asking for the public's help in what's becoming an ongoing investigation. a man and a woman driving an atv early this morning just before 2:00 a.m. lost control of that atv. a man who lives near the trail says he heard the noise and ran down the hill to see what was happening, found the man dead on the scene and the woman struggling for her life with severe head trauma. he called police and that woman was transported to the hospital. >> i went down myself right after i called and sure enough a split-second decision, you know to pull her out. he was deceased. >> reporter: the worst part is police are saying they do not know who the man or woman are. they're asking anyone with information to give them a call. anyone who knows someone who may have been riding an atv that is black, white, and gray last night to please contact them. we'll have more on this coming up on news4 at 5:00. >>> we are learning more about the psychologica

tracee wilkins was at that news conference that just wrapped up with the details on this. tracee? >> reporter: it is the most controversial budget proposal the kounl ti has seen in decades. but the county executive is saying t no more room to shift anything around, that the bill has to be paid and his number-one priority are schools. >> this fungd plan will enable us to do things we haven't been able to do in quite some time. >> with that baker introduced a bold $3.6 billion budget with money for public safety and schools but also filled with layoffs, furloughs, and tax increases. >> even in these, you know, tough economic time we're investing. >> reporter: the prince george's county school board req $1.9 billion in funding and baker proposes completely funding them by giving $135.7 million more than they got last year. >> there were years where we were reduced by hundreds of millions of there ares and so, you know, wht happens several successive years it takes a while to build that back up. >> reporter: the money to pay for that increase will come from increasing property taxes.

prince george's county bureau chief tracee wilkins joins us now live. she's at police headquarters with some new information about this. >> reporter: prince george's county police are saying that it was not the pursuit that caused the death of this innocent man but the decisions that the driver of that stolen car made last night. police say 22-year-old larry henson of southeast was behind the wheel of that stolen car that injured a police officer and took the life of an innocent 61-year-old driver in temple hills. >> but, again, mr. henson through his flagrant disregard for the safety of the public has led us to a place where we've lost a life. >> reporter: this all started with what appeared to be a routine traffic stop last night for driving without headlights but quickly escalated according to police when the driver took off, striking and injuring one officer and two additional officers who tried to catch up to the fleeing car. police say there was a brief pursuit at about half a mile later. henson crashed into multiple cars

tonight prince george's county bureau chief tracee wilkins shows us how that report led to an arrest. she's live in bladensburg with new details. >> reporter: bladensburg police have been looking for 22-year-old rakim solomon for months now, and today they arrested him. they're telling us that all of this has to do with that report that we did just a few months ago. this is solomon shortly after he was arrested by the bladensburg police department. seen here being transferred to the prince george's county jail. he's facing a slew of charges including attempted first-degree murder carjacking and first-degree assault. this saul stems from solomon allegedly shooting and robbing a 65-year-old vietnam vet in the parking lot in bladensburg last november. then a few weeks later solomon popped up in this youtube music video holding the gun police believe was used during the crime and wearing the jack fret that night. police say a news4 viewer helped lead to his arrest. >> prince george's county crime solvers received a tip from a person. that person stated that they became aware of solomon's
