i just got off the phone with trenton police and they told me that that officer who was stuck by a carly this morning is at saint mary's hospital and he is going to be okay. now, this incident started around 1:30 this morning at the intersection of chestnut avenue and walnut avenue in trenton. that's where trenton police were involved in a chase that ended up on the 1700 block of east state street in hamilton township. that's where the officer was hit and where the driver of the car involved in the chase was found with a gun shot wound. that person as well was transported to saint mayor pre's and is expected to be okay. detectives are on the scene right now and are still trying to sort through all of the details. we do not know at this point if there was another person in that car where the civilian who was shot was found or if the officer who was struck by the car was involved in the initial chase. but again, that trenton police officer who was struck by the car during this incident is at saint mary's and he is expected to be okay. detectives are processing all the information right n
