he weres went on strike they parked the trains and affecting 60,000 passengers, services on septa trolleys and subways are still running. those services take 85% of the septa riders. here's the next step governor corbett is about to ask president obama to step in to order a presidential board to mediate that would get worker to return to their jobs for 240 days. the standstill has been part of a long-standing dispute over wages. the union push to have both sides meet in binding arbitration. septa declined they thought they could get a better deal through negotiation. septa had a previously-agreed upon wageses, but the union turned that down. we have no idea how long this strike is going to last and exactly what that's going to mean for the long term future. doesn't look like the negotiations will start up soon. looks like the passengers will be crowding other modes of transportation. there are concerns how it will affect the commute. we'll keep you posted, as soon as we have more and waiting to see if governor corbett will step in or ask for a presidential mediation that would force the wo
