making its way up the coast right now towards the gulf coast up towards houston again this is tropical storm bill you can see where this storm ends. it just became tropical a little bit earlier this after even in and the named storm just became a named storm as of 11:00 tonight. on this track making its way close to houston. it'll pass just down south. unfortunately the rain on this is just going to be to the north of the track. so that includes houston and dallas. could come up with 40 mile per hour winds. but once again, the wind is not a big factor here. it'll be the flooding as it moves on the next couple of days. we will watch that for sure. they could easily see some locations that gets upwards of 10 inches of rain and already saturated areas. that's something we are watching as we make our way through the next couple of days. out there now in our area, not the rain. it is the heat once again. current temperature of 82 degrees with that heat index of 87. that's 11:00 at night. temperatures won't go down all that much. we may go down to 78, 79.

here is tropical storm bill, about 155 miles south, southeast of galveston moving northwest at 12, maximum winds are 50. this is where the storm is forecast to be courtesy of the national hurricane center. i tweeted this out a while ago. 7 p.m. tomorrow essentially near san antonio and then by early morning wednesday winds are down to 30 miles an hour and will be to the south, southwest of dallas. this is a flooding problem, not a windstorm. that's the main concern through wednesday night. here's the satellite picture. there is a storm there, pretty good circulation. winds never getting to hurricane force. it will be below 74 miles an hour. the surge of moisture will be impressive in eastern texas and parts of western louisiana. for us yellow alert through tomorrow. evening community could be slowed by thunderstorms in parts of the area. some of the storms could be heavy or severe 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. cold front will try to get through here tomorrow. they've been few and far between the last week or so. 77 by 6 a.m. and low 70s in the suburbs, should be a quiet commute to work, could be a litt
