this is a three-story apartment building burning about four blocks from uc-berkeley. firefighters tell me they really have to take a defensive stance staying on the outside spraying water because basically the roof is gone and they know now that a third floor has collapsed. the good news is that they tell me first they know everyone is out of the building. no reports of injuries this morning either to firefighters or people who live here. three buildings also evacuated here in the neighborhood. berkeley police basically went door-to-door telling people to get out. also students, they went door-to-door on their own telling p people to get out. one girl i did speak with told me she was just able to get out with the clothes on her back. >> my other roommate is the one that woke us up and she said there was a fire because she saw firefighters outside so we just -- i went to make sure she was awake. and got out. we left everything. >> reporter: right now there are about 30 firefighters on scene. this is a two-alarm fire. there are a number of people who evacuated standing
