years i had enough of the east coast and i moved back to the west coast here to get a law degree at uc berkeley and i knew that san francisco would be become my new home. as some of you may know my background is as a civil rights lawyer working right here in san francisco. back then, a generation set out to make sure that we all recognized our greatest asset as a nation, our diversity. and together, in those years, we locked arms and stood in a doorway of the international hotel. to prevent the wrongful eviction of senior chinese and filipino immigrants who had no money and no place to go. i have no idea that there was crime happening here >> reporter: uc berkeley police say all three recent crimes happened in the early morning hours. visitors say they feel safe during the day will stay away at night. in berkeley, philippe djegal, kron4 news. >>james: a bold atm of theft in oakland has police searching for suspects. the incident happened yesterday around 330 in the morning on the 76 stations on park boulevard. as you can see in the surveillance camera, the suspect ran they pick truck into the gas station, pull the atm out and loaded it into the truck. no one was injured and the thieves stole nothing else. the store owner said he has had minor break-ins in the past but nothing like this. the incident did not hinder the store owner from opening for business yesterday. the fbi is asking for the public's help in finding a fugitive who may be looking for a job as a software engineer and san francisco and san jose areas. authorities say bruce marshall is wanted for mail fraud. marshall is accused of creating a fake company in convincing a previous employer to hire its service.
