about 5:30 this morning near grizzly peak boulevard and south park drive up in berkeley near the uc-berkeley campus and the lawrence berkeley national lab. the fire burned about an acre before it was fully contained. no reports of evacuations or injuries. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >>> as we continue to follow a developing story in the south bay. a wanted suspect still on the loose and sunnyvale police have not identified the man officers shot and killed yesterday afternoon. it started near the matilda exit of highway 101 near 4:00. when two men bolted from a car. police have not given out many details but a confrontation ensued and that's when an 18-year veteran officer fired his weapon striking a suspect. that suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. they found a handgun near his body and another in his backpack. we'll have more in a live report coming up in about 25 minutes. >>> and in vallejo a hit and run investigation has turned into a homicide investigation. police are still piecing together exactly what happened but here is what they do know. they say about 10:30
