the cold temperatures really setting the stage for that winter weather to move in for us. here is that monster storm. amazing when you think how far it is from us. looks like it is just moving to the north. we get a front that sneaks in overnight tonight. and that couples with the cold air that is already in place. we start off with snow. working through the timeline, looks like about midnight to 3:00 a.m. that is when the snow gets going for most places. and in between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m., it changes over to a wintry mix. not a lot of snow on the on-set. this is really the big concern here. we are talking sleet and freezing rain making for icy conditions on roads. just in time for the morning commute. now, we do see that milder air so this will melt everything and into a slushy mess. turning over to some lingering rain showers. as we work into the evening commute. winter weather advisory goes tonight. p.m. tomorrow. that is when we expect that rain to be changed over to rain for most places. now, how much snow, again, these totals not very high. i would really say three inches
