also, following breaking news right now in vallejo.looting turned violent overnight, and kiet do is there. >> reporter: i'm kiet do, live on the scene of walgreens, and investigators have pretty much left the scene here, giving us a closer look at the violence and what took place out here. if you look closely at the drive-thru pharmacy window, you can see the front glass is missing, and there's damage to the glass as well. that's probably where the looters climbed into the building, gaining access to the property. vallejo police got a call about looters at the corner of broadway, and when officers got there, there was a confrontation with the thieves. the officer drew a gun and opened fire. that's all the department is saying officially for now. we did see an ambulance drive away with flashing lights, giving an indication that someone was treated for injuries. an officer on scene said no officers were injured. there were also two vehicles damaged. one was a ford explorer a silver one, it was at the scene, and then another seen on highw

there they are, to show their support and call for reform within the vallejo police department. today the california attorney general announced there will be a full review of the department's use of deadly force and a reform plan will be put into place, this after several officer involved shootings within the department. including the death of monterrosa on tuesday. the 22-year-old was shut as police arrived at a walgreens on reports of looting. monterrosa was just outside that stalwart officers reportedly thought a hammer in his pocket was a gone. now, in terms of the review of the department, attorney general xavier becerra says, quote, this review and reform agreement we announced with the city of vallejo represents a critical step the vallejo police department must take to build trust with people who have lost faith in them. the review will recommend improvements to use of force procedures. antibias in policing, accountability by focusing on training, transparency, and community expectations pick vallejo police chief shani williams says the department has already implemented
