vianey arana has a look at the microclimate forecast. pretty clear out there but it is chilly. >> it's a little chilly. but don't be afraid if you start to notice the cloud cover start to roll in. it was starting out a little clear, and high clouds will eventually change now. and 50 degrees currently in san jose. also, we will be seeing some fog building along the coastline, at some point, patchy fog. the main reason for that is san francisco is because of this storm system that is just off to the north. but we were talking about chilly and look at some spots down to the low 40s. an rosa 44, and santa cruz 46 and here is the satellite radar, and zooming in a little closer, to give you an idea of the cloud cover that will start rolling in, and you notice the rain pretty far off to the north near the reading area, and you can see the chance of some drizzle for san francisco and the north bay. if you get caught up in some drizzle, don't be afraid. it is not major rain. we're not talking about crazy accumulations or anything. san jose temper

vianey arana is here to explain. high winds, and fire danger. >> that's what we're monitoring, and even though at the 7:00 a.m. hour, we're not necessarily seeing winds. look at the skies. this is all because of the smoke. it makes for a beautiful sight. but keep in mind that that air quality is very unhealthy right now, and it will continue to be that way as the smoke continues to drift from the nearby fires and with the change in the wind coming in tonight, that is also going to impact the air quality as well. 55 degrees right now, in san jose. and into the next couple of hours, it will be a cooler afternoon, for the temperatures cooler than yesterday, but the thing that we're monitoring the most, is going to be, here goes the air quality, north bay, all the way down to the south bay, so you look at the color key there, that index lets you know that the orange falls in the range of 101 to 150, it is unhealthy air quality range. and it will that way all weekend long. the spare the air alert was extended through toda

vianey arana has a look at the microclimate forecast.. >> there is a system off to the north which could bring some drizzle. to the north bay and parts of the coastline a line look at san jose. 48 degrees, that's where you will find the chill factor. high clouds rolling through. look at the temperatures throughout the bay area. 42 degrees in napa and 55 right now in san francisco. and santa rosa, at 43 degrees. half moon bay also in the 40s. and this is our system that i'm talking about, when you look at the satellite radar, you can see the majority of the rain stayed pretty far north but as we begin to kind of see this system roll through, again, with that cloud cover, moving just over san francisco, we could see that fog starting to build as well. and we got that fog last night and a look at the microclimate highs for today, looking as you head out the door this morning. 60 degrees in oakland. we're talking 70s, it will be a comfortable day. but then we welcome back the 80s, and i will talk about that coming up. >> always a rollercoast

vianey arana has a look at the microclimate forecast and it is going to be a good one to get out and look at the skies tooed. >> look how beautiful it is. it is going to be a perfect day to really go out and enjoy. overall. all in all. right now, in san francisco, the current temperatures are 57 degrees, so it is not too cold in fran, but running a little chilly in some spots, 51 in san jose. let's look at how of the rest of the bay area. petaluma, it is a little cooler. that number is 37 degrees. so we definitely have, there's a couple of chilly overnight lows, mainly up through the north bay, though, but look at the south bay down below, we will be seeing a little bit of a slight warmup. 18 degrees cooler at this hour, over nine degrees cooler and let's take a look at the microclimate highs and temperatures, five degrees, warmer than what we saw yesterday and in some spots, but looking at what is on the way. a rollercoaster. i will take you through that in a few minutes. >> the only thing i can always expect with the weather is it is going to be a rollercoaster. >> yes. >> see you
