vic lee is live with the latest. vic? >> this was the rise and fall of a popular politician.ounty supervisor took over his father's seat when he died. his gamble addiction got the better of him. tonight, today, his nightmare ended here at this court house. the disgraced former supervisor made no statements in court, never showed emotion, appearing with just his lawyer. no entourage. he stood before the judge as he read list of charges against him, he pled guilty to each of the counts. he also pleaded guilty for seven misdemeanors. the 58-year-old is accused of using taxpayer mb money and donations as a personal piggy bank. prosecutors say he used a county card to pay pay for gambling expenses to vegas. hotel suites. part of the deal, he resigned from the board of supervisors and could have received eight years for his crimes but prosecuters only asking for a year in county jail. he owes the state $50,000. he's paid back 7,000. he left the court house without saying anything. >> the prosecutor explained why she only asked for a year in jail rather than a long prison sentence.

abc 7 news vic lee is live at the scene tonight. vic? >> dan this, is indeed a tragedy.t a family. we're told the patriarch of the family died just last year and now, his wife, and their two sons. they're coming down. you can tell. look? that is not 25. they're speeding. >> neighbors who live along eastmore avenue watch a parade of speeding cars. they're convinced speed was partially to blame. tatiana dropped by the tribute to the three victims of the collision. she knew the family. tatiana grew up with the 14-year-old. >> really good at soccer and really smart. had honor classes and tried his best. he wanted to go to college. >> the accident happened after 8:00 saturday night here on the 100 block of eastmore avenue. police aren't giving out much information just that two cars were involved. one that carry themd was apparently broadsided by another vehicle. he, his older brother and her mother died at the scene. amato's girlfriend was injured and taken to the hospital. the car police say struck their vehicle was driven by dennis macedo of sunnyvale. he was not injured.

vic lee is live tonight with the exclusive details of the arrest. vic?engthy investigation. the agent, gilbert lamb was caught by san jose police officer as signed to the task force on internet crime against children. he lived in san francisco, they turned this case over to police here in that is where wr our story begins. police arrested gilbert lamb for exchanging child porn on the internet. investigators found more than 85 images and videos. the inspector tells abc 7 news he was stunned at computer set up. >> it was quite elaborate. resources and electronics expert ease he had. i remember he had a down closet and like his own independent server, computers and hard drives. storage devices. >> lamb is a homeland security agent. working in customs and border protection. prosecutors say he worked at san francisco international airport security check point for passengers from overseas flights. homeland security launched its own investigation of lamb. the agency gave the findings to the u.s. attorney for prosecution. >> came back to us and felt it would be

vic lee has the story you will only see on "abc 7 news." >> the problems voluntary surrounding the police radios were magnified last july the day that president obama appeared at oakland's fox theater. a large contingent of police were outside to handle protestors. many of the officers said they had trouble communicating on their two way radios. there have been numerous complaints before about the glitches of new radio system that had been installed the year before. it had been riddled with interference and glitches right from the start. barry heads the police officers association. >> they basically use the mic and it doesn't work for a variety of reasons. >> reporter: this report confirms what an internal investigation found a month ago after the president's visit. cell sites were affecting the radio system that their systems were bleeding into radio channels. 43 cell sites have been tested and have of them were resolved. most were at&t's towers. he says communications may have improved but the officers still have no confidence in the system. there was another failure wednesday night. >>
