our janelle wang made it and joins us live this morning. okay. janell. getting to beijing really was not an easy task. >> no, it wasn't, marcus and laura, we to test multiple times leading up to our departure to beijing and once we got on that plane and landed at the airport we had to test twice, a deep nasal swab and a throat swab and had to quarantine in the hotel until the test results came back. we also have to test every single day here, a throat swab and we're not allowed to leave our hotel room and athletes have to get tested every day and, unfortunately, a few team usa athletes have tested positive since they arrived here in beijing and one of them includes bobsledder, four-timelismiac elana meyers taylor, isolated in the room by herself and cannot leave until she's received two negative tests. the good news is she's amountic and she has wi-fi so she's able to facetime with her 23-month-old son who is special needs. she's actually set up training in her room and has ten meters and she's doing sprints back and forth and they will bring an exercise

janelle wang here in beijing. the winter games. it is just after 2:50 here sunday afternoon.re. me and my photographer landed about a week ago. a lot of covid testing leading up to our departure flight and when we landed, we've been testing every single day. a covid test, a deep throat swab. if we don't dee doo that test, we cannot leave our lotell rooms. there water few team u.s.a. members who tested positive and that includes our bobsledder, elana meyers taylor. she tested positive two days after landing. she's been in isolation over a week. not allowed to leave her hotel room. we got word yesterday she got the two back to back tests needed to be clooered to compete. the whole week she's been training in her room. they brought weights and an exercise bike. i spoke to her via zoom and says she's got about ten meters to work with but now she's out and can compete. unfortunately, her husband, nick taylor remains in isolation at another room down the hall. nick is from hayward and an alternate on the men's bobsledding team but he's also staying in shape and set up a gym inside
