this is wbal-tv 11 news at noon. >> good afternoon. i am sarah caldwell. we begin with breaking news -- the jury has reached a decision on the sentencing of convicted murderer walter bishop. barry simms is life in harford county with the leaking details. >> this morning notes from jurors indicated they were leaning away from the death penalty. the jury sentenced walter bishop to life in prison without possibility of parole -- with the possibility of parole. he confessed to shooting william porter, claiming that the victim's wife, karla porter, pressured him, claiming that he was abusive, and promising to pay him $9,000. bishop told police that he walked into the gas station porter , and pulled the trigger four times. the jury considered several factors in reaching the decision, so-called mitigating factors, including bishop's is back up support, untreate personalityd disorder and depression -- untreated personality disorder and a depression. >> absolute relief. this case -- these cases are very stressful. there is some much on the line, and it is difficult
