this is the wendy's video. you can see he's running away, turns the taser towards police, and we've stopped the video right at the point at which he was shot. he then hits the ground, and there's a lot of controversy over what happened right after that because according to the lawyers for brooks' family it was over two minutes, 2 minutes and 16 seconds before they took his pulse. and the allegation is that in that time they put on gloves and collected shell casings from the scene. now, it would be highly unorthodox in a shooting with police on the scene if this is true. again, this is just what the lawyer from rayshard brooks' fapalfa family to have said. but the implication was rather than render him aid they looked for their shell casings and picked it up while they called for help. it was 2 minutes and 16 seconds before they checked his pulse according to the lawyers. rayshard brooks leaves behind three children and a stepchild, a 13-year-old stepson and three daughters aged 8, 2 and 1. it was one of his chi

high side video from wendy's. what i've seen from watching that so many times is i do believe that mr. brooks does deploy the taser right when he turns around behind the red car because you can actually see the flash when he deploys the taser. and what the officer does if you watch it closely, he's running at first with the taser in his right hand. you'll first see that on the dash cam video. the officer has his taser in his right hand. he's chasing mr. brooks, who has the other taser. and then when they get down near the red car the officer switches the taser to liz left hand and he reaches for his weapon with his right hand. then he drops the taser by the back of the red car. and when he's shooting mr. brooks. so mr. brooks i believe does turn and shoot the taser. still it's no reason to use deadly force. you know what a taser does. you know how far away it is. it's unlikely it's going to incapacitate you. you can see him turn. you'll see the flash on his taser. and then the officer just before that has changed

there are reports of armed protesters near that wendy's. this is where rayshard brooks died earlier this month in the shooting we've all watched. my reports on the ground are telling me that literally, you have people surrounding it with what looks like ar-15s. is that the case, and what is the standoff looking like? >> we haven't seen an active standoff, but we have seen certainly attend situation around that wendy's since the time of the shooting. one thing is clear, a lot of business owners in the area for your more violence. that wendy's of course was destroyed after the shooting on june 12, destroyed and burned. they had the funeral for rayshard brooks here today, brooks of course killed in that wendy's parking lot june 12th after failing a sobriety test, fighting with two white police officers, taking the taser, firing a taser at one of the officers while trying to flee. brooks left behind a wife and three children. >> we are just asking for everyone do not stop fighting, continue to push, stay in the streets until real change happens
