we're talking about hikers and pack packers that had been out in the wilderness some had been in thending labor day holiday. what started as rather peaceful trip turned into something else quite dramatic as a result of this creek fire that continues to burn out of control. word from people on the scene there, that they were able to see the stars, because the big problem had been the smoke and the weather. once they got word, the crews got word that the people on the floor could see the stars, and they thought, okay, let's do it and get them out of there. so a total of seven helicopters were helping on this operation over the course of the day. from 3:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon. these were some families out there, but there were also some first responders out there that needed the evacuate those areas as well. we saw at least one fresno county sheriff's deputy that was trapped. and others needed help getting out as well. like i mentioned, it's been a rollercoaster of emotions from families waiting word from their loved ones, who were out here at 5:00 yesterday afternoo
