let's show you temperatures around the bay shoreline this morning.tually one of our cooler mornings this week. see, a lot of 50s on the board, some low 60s as well. as we widen out the map for you, you can see some of our inland communities much warmer in the 60s and 70s right now. so our excessive heat warning and our heat advisories do continue. the one exception, the heat advisory did end for san francisco yesterday. so san francisco will stay in the 70s today, but everywhere else we will find hotter temperatures. and that extreme heat risk is still with us inland today. so looking inland at our temperatures again, it's another hot afternoon, another day where high temperatures are above 100 degrees. you see that by 4 p.m. with a lot of sunshine around the bay. shoreline heat advisory still in effect. it's warm, if not hot, 80s and 90s, but it will be a bright day along the coast. right now, we do have some fog. we'll get some afternoon sunshine, and this is the place where folks are going to get that natural relief from the intense heat inland. w

patchy fog around the bay. shoreline, current sky conditions. as we look at the map, our farthest inland areas like concord, napa reporting clear skies. other areas. it's a mix of sun and clouds out there. temperatures right now pretty comfortable. mid 50s to the low 60s as we look around the bay shoreline. good morning hayward at 62. it's 60 in palo alto, 58 in livermore. it's a similar stories widen out the map. she parts of the north bay in the inland east bay. some of our cooler spots in our valleys like santa rosa starting out in the upper 40s. so today's a day with those temperatures for the middle of july are very pleasant inland. today, a few degrees below average, we'll have lots of sunshine. those daytime highs mainly in the low and mid 80s. later on today. cloud cover, patchy right now around the bay shoreline. that's what you see here. but we see sunshine pretty quickly later on this morning. and by 4 p.m. our daytime highs are in the low 70s with a light breeze out there along the coast. we do have overcast skies currently, but we'l

we have 80s and 90s around the bay shoreline and the coast.ore comfortable. 60s and 70s for daytime highs. the three day forecast shows you our heat wave. it's going to roll on through the weekend as that dangerous heat persists away from the coast on the seven day, though, we do have some cooler weather finally moving in. national park. the french fire started yesterday afternoon and it's quickly grown to more than 900 acres. it's 0% contained. evacuations have been ordered in the area, including a hospital in that area. officials say hot temperatures and winds have been making it hard to fight this fire. 17 buildings have destroyed have been destroyed in the thompson fire that's burning near lake oroville in butte county. some of the 28,000 evacuation orders have been downgraded, which allowed people to go back to their homes. the flames are 29% contained. after raging through more than 3700 acres ever since yesterday, i've been up over 24 hours all last night running around putting out hot spots. >> look how close we are to your home. >> i

an excessive heat warning will kick in around the bay shoreline. it's warm today. lots of sunshine, upper 70s, lower 80s around the bay shoreline and then along the coast. a little bit of cloud cover. right now we get a lot of sunshine out there. this afternoon and it will feel mild with temperatures going into the 60s. now, tonight we do have to talk about an increased risk of fire danger. a red flag warning will kick in for the north bay mountains, the east bay hills. this will last through wednesday morning. we'll have a northerly wind pick up late tonight into early tomorrow morning. that will bring some gusty winds, but also drop our humidity to dangerously low levels. humidity down to 10. so not only the risk of fires, but tomorrow there is a risk of some high heat. we'll show you those numbers coming up in a few minutes. let's check in with frances, see how we're doing on the roads this morning. >> all right. morning, drew. good morning everyone. we do have a hot spot developing for folks heading towards the bay bridge right now. the bay bridge toll plaza. i

the heat advisory for the bay shoreline.ncisco, but it will be continuing right around oakland, hayward, redwood city, san mateo and also santa cruz county as well. current numbers out there for the 4:00 hour right now. once again, 106 degrees in livermore, concord, 103 105 in fairfield. so typically on a hot day where, say, 98 to 100. but over the past several days we've been going well up above, well up above those levels. some cooling, though, you can see kind of get the idea here. with that sea breeze making a comeback, the fog having a big impact on temperatures near san francisco and in oakland and the temperature change compared to yesterday. at this time, some areas have a minus sign out toward sfo, oakland and hayward, some areas a little bit warmer for santa rosa, fairfield, and especially for a place like livermore. here's the satellite this afternoon where we are still tracking some patchy, dense fog near portions of the coastline. so this is trying to cool off the entire bay area, but only near the coast and rig

still that cloud cover near the coast and pushing back into the bay shoreline.urrent numbers for the 7:00 hour. right now it's 92 degrees in livermore, san jose 80, hayward 74 and santa rosa 76 degrees in san francisco. a cool 60. all because that fog is trying to blanket portions of the city that will keep those temperatures on the cooler side overnight temperatures. starting out, your saturday morning in the 50s and the 60s. so the fog could impact visibilities, coastside and right around the bay shoreline. it has been a hot stretch, but now we're seeing this little system develop just offshore, this little area of low pressure. and that will send temperatures down a bit over the next several days. so it's still hot inland, but at least we're not talking about ridiculous heat of 105 110 degrees tomorro. the hot spots approaching the mid 90s tomorrow though you'll also notice this some high clouds moving in from the south that could feel a bit humid, a bit muggy out there throughout the afternoon hours, but definitely temperatures. not as hot as today. out towa
