. >> i'm heather holmes. a second family tonight is mourning the loss of a loved one after a car crashed through a nursing home in san jose yesterday. we are live at that nursing home with more about the elderly woman who passed away today. >> reporter: we have learned that woman consider you can see the giant hole that been repaired. the 100-year-old woman was in this room and was hurt when the 90-year-old driver lost control of her car. you can stillest skid marks inside the room. the reports were that the injuries were relatively minor but the director said by phone today that there were complications. >> the fact she was 100, she was 100 she -- her injury was according to the paramedics and everything i heard the injury was slight. >> reporter: today family members of the other victim who died after the crash visited the nursing home to look at the damage for themselves. we spoke to the son and daughter of the 88-year-old who died yesterday following the accident. her family members said they are frustrat

i'm heather holmes. >> and i'm ken pitchet. authorities are calling it an accident. a car plows into a nursing home, killing one person. it happened around 9:45 this morning at the amberwood gardens home on peterson avenue. authorities say a 90-year-old woman visiting the nursing home hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car through a window and into the common room. at least 10 people were in that room. seven of taken to the hospital, fire officials told ktvu news that one of the victims died this afternoon. a volunteer at the nursing home told our cameras what he saw. >> i saw a car halfway between -- it was halfway in the wall and it just kept moving forward and hit quite a bit of residents. it was pretty scary. >> the driver was not injured in the crash. no word tonight on the identity of the person killed or the conditions of the other victims. residents at the home have been moved to a different area. >>> no official death toll but quote multiple passenger deaths. that is the latest word tonight from investigators at the scene of that deadly amtr

good evening, everyone, i'm heather holmes in tonight for julie haener. >> and i'm frank somerville. that 2-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries and was in surgery just a short time ago. the accident happened this afternoon at the family's home in antioch. ktvu's eric rasmussen was at the scene earlier this evening. now he is at childrens' hospital oakland where that little boy is being treated. eric? >> reporter: frank, i just got an update on my phone here from antioch police in about the last 30 minutes. they say that little boy was upstairs watching t.v. leaning in the screen in the window when he fell out. at last check his parents were with him at the emergency room but we now know they were not home when this accident happened. >>> firefighters and paramedics rushed to this home in antioch. a 2-year-old boy was unconscious after falling on to the driveway. >> we were outside and we just heard this scream. >> this next door neighbor told us the boy's parents weren't home at the time. >> i think they are all home alone. so it happened and i think they called a relative to

good evening i'm heather holmes in for julie haener. >> and i'm frank somerville. an arson suspect turned herself in. the fires happened on mission avenue. ktvu's deborah villalon is in san raphael tonight with a case that barely had time to cool. deborah? >> reporter: yes, these fires sent heavy smoke over central san raphael and the 101 freeway. take a look at news chopper two. this is san raphael hill which rises behind the historic selkirk mansion right next to downtown. it's public open space and known to attract homeless camps. and the alleged fire bug is one of those campers. >> it was the second fire that i heard the alarms. >> reporter: it was a two alarm fire. >> it was really close to our home. >> reporter: the first was set at this campsite. the second was higher up. and police had a good description of the woman running from the hill. so they were looking already. >> she showed up at the police department earlier and commit -- admitted to doing the arson. >> reporter: why? >> at this point we don't know. >> reporter: passed fires on this hill have been
