the rain amounts of heavier across the north bay.e could see 1 inch or more through wednesday but the totals really fall off once you get down to the peninsula or south bay, only expecting to see a half inch or more than that. that would be the first system. another system is heading our way later in the week, thursday into friday and will probably offer another inch or two of rainfall. >> we're at 44 in santa rosa, redwood 44, almaden at 47 degrees. not as cold but tomorrow afternoon we're not going to warm a whole lot. back close to 70 across the south bay. that will be the warmest of the areas. the numbers fall off a couple of degrees, back in the mid-60s there. in the north bay, mild but once we get to the afternoon hours, the showers will fall and overnight they will spread through the peninsula. we're back in the upper 60s for daytime highs then the rain is going to arrive and we'll see the heavier of the shower activity. good idea to keep it handy and put it by the door to keep yourself dry. we're not looking at any severe wea

north bay looks to be on the northern edge. the heavier rain is towards the east bay peninsula and also the south bay. we have incredible totals last night. two inches of rain. look at the line that formed down to the santa cruz mountains. i couldn't tell you the last time i saw oakland's rainfall beating the santa cruz mountains. so, 1.67. that was the main line that went along the coastline right into the santa cruz mountains. there's still lots of rain around. now, in the north bay, very low snow levels as well. this system is slicing its way east. the cold air has to move in. we're not there yet. thunderstorms are very likely today. this will be the coolest day and an extremely active pattern. by this afternoon, there could be more sun breaks and inland showers and possible thunderstorms are definitely in the mix. mid-40s, even with cloud cover, temperatures are dropping quite a bit, which is really rare. this system has to go right over us. rain cooler, colder, morning rain giving way to a showerly pattern. upper 50s for ev
