you can see the areas seeing the longest drift and directional wind shear, severe thunderstorm warnings north of boston and flash flooding in maine, vermont and new hampshire. this system is affecting a little more than a quarter of the country, even though the hurricane force winds have subsided, that precipitation, the heavy rain and snow will take another 24 hour cycle before that lifts off to canada, doing more damage tonight in addition to what we've seen in the last 24 hours. raj? >> thank you, rob. >>> sandy is still causing problems for air travelers, including right here in the bay area. today, more cancellations, which means more travelers stranded in the bay area. here are some of the numbers. 50 outbound flights were canceled at sfo. at oakland, jetblue canceled two flights this morning to the east coast. but the flight to jfk from oakland tonight is scheduled to take off. and in san jose, jetblue canceled its only east coast flight today. many stranded passengers were at the airport, some concerned and anxious just to get home. >> hell, no other words, hell. i have a wife a
