joining me now for the day's strategy talk former congress martin frost and noelle. we had a highly emotional hearing where the deputy chief said his jaw dropped when he heard susan rice. have republicans' suspicions been proven correct? >> look, the big issue, alex, here always has been why didn't the state department respond more quickly to the ambassador's request for additional security, and what happened, why didn't we get troops in there, military in there to protect the embassy personnel? the rest of this is a side show. so the administration made some mistakes, so they were sloppy in the way they reported it after the fact. there's a lot of curiosity about that, but as a member of congress, i was a member for 26 years, what i would have been most concerned about was the original issue of what happened? the ambassador asked for more security. the state department didn't respond to that in a timely way, and why didn't our military get in there and try to help? those are the big issues. the rest of this stuff is just a side show. >> okay. noelle, is this all abo
