we are unseasonalably cool -- unseasonably cool this time of year. don't see the changes anytime soon. let's look at what we had today. these numbers are preliminary, and this is what we're looking at for today. 81 for livermore, and these numbers are cooler than yesterday, but look at where we stand than typically we do. santa rosa, and close to 8 degrees below the average. typically 74 degrees for this time of year, today about 65. right now, the temperatures in the upper 50's, and low 60s, and feeling good in walnut creek, and 82 outside in fairfield, so still nice, and mild in your neighborhood. the on shore breeze with not stop, and won't stop for some time. 22 miles per hour at this time, it's moving through the hayward pass as well, and livermore, with an on shore breeze there. the breeze continues, and this is the system that will continue to bring us more of the same i should say. it's a few hundred miles offshore, and eventually lift to the north and east, but it'll take a few days, so between now and then, the temperatures will be about to

unseasonably warm air in the arctic regions of north america brings the jet stream north and it died this brings canadian air masses into our area. this is a pattern that undergoes some rather substantial changes in the next week. you can see by late in the week the flow comes in from the northwest but it is not reaching the arctic. we will extend our q 27 days. you see the cool air mass in place here. thursday we are stepping through time, and friday modest warming and warm air in this purple and red area and expand eastward. the jet stream indicated by the lines here blows from west to east instead of in from canada. that's warmer weather if that works out and you see it in the predicted temperatures. the next five days will be about five below normal. the 6-10 day periods will average a little above normal and then we go to 7 grees above normal next week and 11-15 days. . so we are going into warmer weather as we move into the final weeks of august and summer around here but today is late september were 69, the temperature. look at the 59 by thunder bay and as you go north, here's

now this system that's bringing us the unseasonably cool weather also providing enough lift to bringl clouds. we're seeing that over northern sections of the bay at this hour. so if you looked up earlier today and thought, that cloud looks different than what this typical low cloud that we typically see through the morning hours and through the afternoon. you can see the low clouds stretching into san francisco, you have to be on the eastern edge to still have the mostly sunny skies. i'm seeing a patch over berkeley as well. and perhaps parts of alameda. as i scoot back a little bit, these are mid-high level clouds over parts of the north bay this afternoon. so, again our pattern is going to remain with only minor changes in store for your day tomorrow. temperatures for the inland communities, the inland east bay, several degrees cooler than what we were yesterday. around the bay temperatures were either near what we saw yesterday and felt yesterday to just slightly cooler. perhaps even a tad warmer in some areas. 83 in morgan hill this afternoon. nice mild to warm for you. mid-70s i
