colder air is riding in on the winds that are 10 miles an hour in pottstown. they'll be close to 20 miles an hour this afternoon. and through it all, this massive snowstorm. it's going to be a long haul during the day today. it will be with us through this morning and through this afternoon. the low is still to our south. it has to ride up past us. and that will happen late this afternoon and tonight. now, rain extending even into very close to the pocono mountains this morning, and that's steadier rainfall, especially in chester county and portions of montgomery and bucks counties as well. the snow forecast. 8 to 12 inches for the ski resorts. for the lehigh valley, berks county, portions of bucks, chester and montgomery county, 5 to 8 inches of snowfall. in the immediate suburbs of philadelphia, 3 to 5 inches of snow. but in the city, we could see 2 to 4 inches of snow. it is farther to the south and east that will be more limited. we're looking at 1 to 3 inches for portions of delaware and into south jersey. and farther to the south, mainly, if not all rain
