i'm dave clark. >>> let's talk about weather and traffic. steve has a lot to tell us. >> a lot of fog out there this morning. >> yeah. >> we're waiting on the system. it will give us higher cloud. temperatures cooler to the north bay. mild to warm to the south bay. a lot of clouds on but nothing organized until thursday and maybe for the rain. there could be a lot of rain for the north bay. not too much for the south bay until friday or saturday. the system is still a day away. look for mostly cloudy to the north. partly sunny, partly cloudy to the south. 40s, 50s. a lot of reports very thick fog that's reducing. visibility anywhere from .25 to a mile. san ramon had thick fog, also livermore, some pocketser that. sfo, it's all over the place. usually thickens up about this hour. starts to decrease at 9:00. there will be a lot of cloud cover coming over us. look for mostly sunny skies. there's plenty back here. it will take another day or two before it arrives. we're waiting for the system. it look like a lot of rain in the north bay. more on

. >> we're ready, good morning i'm dave clark. steve paulson is checking out your forecast for the next couple of days. >>> changes for the weekend, today is the fog. >> there's a lot of fog out this. >>> a lot of fog out there. be careful. 50s mainly. a few 40s but 50s out this. it will lift sooner today. there's a little northern background in sacramento valley and right there, that's going to take care of some of that fog later. a lot of high clouds in southern california, and changes in the sierra in a big way. for us visibility is a big story here about a quarter of a mile for some. 3/4s for others for two. napa and fairfield, 2.5, 50s, i doubt these changes much at all. most locations say cloudy, there are some of the higher elevations, they've warmed up and high pressure building in for a day and that should take care of the fog. it's the cold, the very cold temperatures, down to florida. tampa is 32, it's 16 below the wind chill in pittsburgh, 17 below in cleveland, and new york city 14 below, philadelphia 14 below, those

. >> good morning, i'm dave clark. it doesn't feel as cold. >> it is up because of the low cloud deck. yesterday was much colder that is for sure. we have clear skies and dew points were lower. well, low cloud deck said i will come wac. we have a weak system coming down. it's not wide spread. there is plenty of low low clouds. 53 san francisco to start. we will go 63 today. increase in that low cloud deck. coast and bay will come down. the mere fact that the clouds are there will take the edge off some of the high temps today. big ban of high temps but boy are they pushing south. no issues with that. for us 30s for a few. but a lot of 40s and 50s. they are up. napa 39 yesterday. that is a big difference. there are a couple of 30s but not very many. close to danville. a lot of 40s. much cooler antioch and brentwood and pittsburgh. we will focus our attention by friday for a system coming down out of the north which will give the sierra some snow and maybe some rain here late friday into saturday. more on that coming up
