convicted drug dealer with a lengthy criminal record was allowed to stand in a door chester district court hallway monday during the first hearing on charges he shot veteran stokinger. it started when they witnessed him dealing drugs to a woman last tuesday. >> admitted she just purchased headley. >> reporter: on friday they cornered him on mount bowdoin tearis when headley opened fire striking stokinger in the leg. >>'s fired numerous rounds as he moved closer to officer stokinger as he was firing those rounds. >> reporter: next court documents say headley fled through the vacant lot before running across the street and gun behind a sheet metal wall. >> i am at 33 mount bowdoin tearis a shot. >> reporter: another officer took headley in custody as stokinger applied his tourniquet and was rushed to the hospitalp they found five casing believed to be from headley's gun. >> a glock in a large capacity feeding device. >> reporter: headley learned his fate several officers stood in the back of court to the injured brother at home and is expected to make a full recovery. now police say headley was combative and uncooperative when in custody and they even said he was able to conceal a harness and stayed suspended for an hour. as firefighters worked to try to rescue them. in the end crews had to remove a window he to bring those workers inside and to safety and amazingly despite
