"oh i think it's fabulous. when my kids were at this school, it was obvious that it needed improvement." those improvements are coming in a big way at waddell elementary school in lexington. crews are building a new facility on the footprints of the original school, which opened in 1926. leslie straughan is a parent and member of the school board and says the original building is historic, but had issues.
