you see the clouds thinning out in southeastern massachusetts. we've got moisture to our south farther away as this front to the west drops in. it is the leading edge of less humid air. the dew points are more comfortable to the west. but it takes time to work in. you're heading out this morning, it is pretty uncomfortable. by 9:00 a.m. you'll notice it sticky. but by lunchtime you'll feel the change as the humidity goes down. temperatures go down with less humidity. 50s to lower 60s. you can tonight. refreshing air coming in. clear to partly cloudy by the time you get to the cape. less humid air with us into tomorrow as well. high pressure sitting right on top of us tomorrow means another sun-filled day. tomorrow we're into the 80s. not what you expect on the first day of fall. it official arrives tomorrow morning at 10:21. if you're headed to the game, game and then temperatures fall. by friday we're in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. we'll be tracking the front. this cold front has moisture associated with it. but it loses a lot of it as it

southeastern massachusetts taking the brunt of the rain and wind from the storm we had wind gusts as high as 45 on the north shore in rockport. that's our storm at 65 miles per hour. forecast will keep it going to the west as we've seen and then turn it to the north as it continues to weaken and just kind of fizzling out to our south. all the while keeping the waters churned up and keeping rain bands circling on in. but as it weakens the rain bands become fewer and the winds continue to die down gradually. i expect 20 to 30 miles per hour wind gusts through the still some over 30 right now. the dangerous surf and rough seas will continue at least until thursday. trees down but we'll watch it overnight of course and the rain there will still be some. totals of to one two inches on the island and portions of cape cod not every town i total of a quarter inch at max in the city of boston. in someplaces in and around the city again where you get the heaviest rains to come on through could get up to a third or half inch of rain but that will just be the exception not the rule. get up to wo
