i'm kimberly suiters. prince george's county police say that two men broke into a home on lusby lane, but the homeowner was inside. melissa dipane he has more. melissa: pg county police are investigating. what we know is around noon ,two suspects entered this home on lusby lane and gunshots rang out. this quiet neighborhood is parked away. -- talked away. this longtime resident things are not the way they used to be. >> 20 years when i moved here, nobody knew what brandywine was. it has grown by leaps and bounds. thissa: at 12:30 afternoon, suspects broke into this home and exchanged gunshots with the resident. one of the suspects was killed. one of the home occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. taken aback when i saw all of the pg county officers and the tape surrounding these homes. it set me back. then i found out some of the lost their life. relieved to learn that it was not the home occupant who was killed. >> they have been here for a very long time. i watched their kids grow up in that h
