out sandbags to try to keep any rising water flooding also is a problem in maryland, and fox 5 matt ackland is live along beach drive near east west highway in chef chase with more, including a rescue that's just happening. is that right, matt? >> reporter: yeah, that's right, tony, so to speak, kevin john river rescue just arrived about 30 seconds ago. you can see these men, they're about to head out into this area, this is beach drive, you remember, tony, here at 5:00. we were talking to you about cars passing through here, well, one of them got stuck there. you might see it in the foreground. we noticed about ten minutes ago, that firefighters started to arrive on the scene then this river rescue unit arrived. what we don't know at this point, if there is someone inside, we're being told that a passerby noticed that this car was stuck. there's a lot of residents in the area, so once that car was stuck, emergency officials responded right away. have you guys found out if there's somebody in the car? is there somebody in there? not sure yet? they're pointing -- firefighters standing here p

matt ackland is here with new de fails about 14 year olds attacked in northwest d.c. i also understand this was record ed and shared on social media. >>reporter: we are not showing the faces of those involve to protect the young victim's identity. he is 12 years old and his mom says he was leaving the library in southwest when he was attacked by a group of boys and someone had a camera. i couldn't come to my son's aid at all. the mother who didn't want us to use her son's name says hours after her son's learned it was shared on facebook and viewed \million\mills ever times. this is the worst nightmare, for one for your child to be assaulted, but for it to just be on video for the world to see is just -- itself it's not a good feeling. the mother tells us police are investigating and told her they're using the video as one method to track down those responsible. she wanted to speak out and n hopes of finding them while letting others know the impact of this type of violence shared on social media heartless, no one cares, you know. no one cares until it hits home until

fox5's matt ackland is live tonight in suitland with the very latest. matt. >> reporter: shawn you're right this was a brutal crime and we're told that detectives started working around the clock once they got that 911 call from the woman who said that she had been raped here near the metro station. also, the police are telling us that they have video from that bus that shows the victim and suspect on the bus. authorities say this started about 2:00 p.m. at the suitland metro station. the victim was on the bus and so was the suspect. court documents reveal the man followed the woman home. he then gained entry into her apartment after he knocked on her front door. he struck her in the face several times, grabbed her by the neck and then police say he forced her on the bed where he raped her. >> she called us about 2:40 in the a thankfully soon after the event happened and we were able to get the investigation going right weigh which is why we were able to track down the suspect and just over 24 hours -- i mean identify him and put him in custody. >> repor
